Bug Description

Intrepid beta with latest updates. Santa Rosa Macbook Pro.

The Num Lock function key does not effect the output of the keyboard. xev shows that "Num_Lock" key events are coming through, but the keyboard mapping is not modified, so hitting the number area does not show any numbers just the letters.

On hardy, activating the num lock would change my keyboard to use the secondary number keys (uio, jkl, m) among other things.

This happens whether my keyboard layout is Macintosh or UK layout (my standard layout).

I should add that the Num Lock key thinks it is the Clear key at the moment.

Can you clarify what key you mean when you talk about the Num Lock key? There is no key marked "Num Lock" on the Macbook Pro keyboard... Are you using F6? Did you use the Fn key in combination with F6?

The F6 key had "num lock" written on it and, depending on your pommed settings, is activated via one keystroke or Fn+F6. I have mine set-up to work on one click, but it doesn't work either way.

Are you still having this problem. I cannot reproduce on Macbook Pro 3,1 using Intrepid Ibex 8.10. The F6 key (shows numlock) lights and the number pad on the keyboard works fine.

Please advise.
