Caps lock & Num lock keys do not light up when active

Bug Description

Intrepid beta with latest updates.

Neither the Caps Lock or Num Lock keys will light up when they are active (the green light).

This is on a Santa Rosa Macbook Pro.

pommed, applesmc are both installed and active/loaded.

I can confirm it worked on Hardy and isn't working in Intrepid.

This is on a macbook 2,1 C2D with 2.6.27-7-generic x86_64.

pommed and applesmc are installed and running.

I had this problem too, and the F11 - F12 keys didn't work. I get it solved uninstalling the mouseemu package.

I can confirm that uninstalling mouseemu restores the functionality of Num and Caps lock LEDs.

It seem as though removing mouseemu also "solved" bug #293139.
Bug #293139 now seems to fall back to Bug #280290.

Hmm, this may have been a premature conclusion.
I experienced Bug #280290 after removing mouseemu, instead of the usual bug #293139.

But I experienced bug #293139 again despite mouseemu still being uninstalled.

This is still a problem. I think the fix should be that mouseemu is not enabled by default.
