Bug Description

http://www.edubuntu.com/FAQ claims

"The current version of Edubuntu (and Ubuntu and Kubuntu) was released on October 30th 2008, and is known as Edubuntu 8.10. The current LTS (Long Term Support) version was released in April 2008 and is known as Edubuntu 8.04.1 LTS."

8.10, 9.04, 9.10, 10.04... that's *three* releases behind the current release. This reflects very poorly on Edubuntu. (the LTS part is wrong too)

The page also mentions historical facts like "Dapper was originally scheduled for April, although a delay was agreed upon to ensure top quality, since it was an enterprise release." which are hardly of any relevance now.

Thanks for filing this bug report.

You are correct that page is horribly and in my opinion it doesn't really do any good, so I've just disabled it completely.

We're putting up a new site soon (within the next 2 weeks or so) that is a fork of the current site which has many issues fixed. When that is uploaded this bug will be marked as superceded, for now we'll keep it open to track the FAQ status.

Closing bug, we no longer have an FAQ and will attempt to answer frequently asked questions on the top-level pages instead, where appropriate.
