Digikam crashes occasionally when loading images

Binary package hint: digikam

While I am editing photos in digikam, it crashes while loading images about once for every 15 photos. Does not always happen on the same photos. I can reproduce it frequently, but not consistently--just flipping through photos does not seem to trigger the crash; it usually occurs while I am editing photos (possibly while deleting photos?).
