Bug Description
For our users and for our contributors, we should list:
- what python versions we support
- what python versions we might work on but don't know (e.g. 2.7)
- what python version compatibility we require in new code (which might be a larger set than 'supported versions')

code-style has most of this; we should show it in user docs too though - installing.txt only covers the minimum version, and mentioning 3 would be useful I think.
