Bug Description

 affects bzr

It would be nice if it was possible to set two authors for a commit when
pair-programming.

Does this mean we need a "bzr whoarewe" command? =) Okay, seriously:

This would also be very useful when committing changes that were submitted as normal patches, as happens extremely often in FOSS projects. Right now the usual workaround is to commit it as yourself but add a note in the commit message that credits the actual patch author. I could also see this being useful for self-created vendor branches, and a few other use cases besides pair-programming.

bzr whoami is used for the *committer* (which would still be
one person). The author(s) are specified on the command-line to commit.

But I agree this would be a useful feature indeed. --fixes is already
supported multiple times, it would be nice to have that for --author as
well.

Okay, I was unaware of --author, silly me! (My workaround is how most projects do it in e.g. SVN.)

Another FOSS-project use case: there are sometimes multiple authors of a particular patch. This actually happens quite often, for instance, when a team of packagers for a distribution implement a bug fix and send it upstream as a single rebased patch. (I've been on both the sending and receiving end of this case).
