Bug Description

Hello,

i read a lot about sound issues after a kernel upgrade to version greater than 2.6.20-11.
This is also a problem with my soundcard:
mantikor@feisty:~$ lspci | grep audio
04:09.0 Multimedia audio controller: C-Media Electronics Inc CM8738 (rev 10)

Somewhere it was recommended to compile alsa from sources which broke on my machine during the make process. This couldn't solve my 'no sound' issue.

If i could provide you with further information please tell me how to.

Regards,
mantikor

mantikor (lprofil) wrote : Installing Feisty again fixed my problem

Hello again,

this is not the best way to solve a prblem - i know.

I don't know what broke my sound-output in the other installation, but now, after i installed feisty again and update, upgraded and dist-upgraded it, sound works propper again with the 2.6.20-13-generic kernel.

Sorry for bothering you.
