Bug Description
Binary package hint: gtk-gnutella
gtk-gnutella version 0.96.1-0ubuntu1 in Dapper.
When started from the menu nothing seems to happen. This is echoed to stdout:
*** ANCIENT VERSION DETECTED! ***
Sorry, this program is too ancient to run without
an explicit user action: If it's not possible to upgrade
you may edit the file
and set the variable "ancient_
"gtk-gnutella/
You will then be able to run this version forever, but
please consider upgrading, as Gnutella is an evolving
network in which ancient software is less useful or even
harmful!
*** EXITING ***
The solution works, but imo would be a good idea to do an ugrade on the whole package in Dapper or do some minor upgrade that would set ancient_
