Bug Description

Binary package hint: udev

I am using Ubuntu 6.10 (edgy). The card reader is based on Texas Instrument chipset.
SD card works (although it doesn't automount). Memory Stick Pro neither automounts nor recognized.
Laptop testing report can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/HPNX6120

Following is output of 'sudo udevmonitor -e' while inserting Memory Stick Pro.

---------------------
udevmonitor prints the received event from the kernel [UEVENT]
and the event which udev sends out after rule processing [UDEV]

mjg59 fixed this, no?

@Scott,

The bugs is about 'Memory Stick Pro' and not 'SD card'. 'Memory Stick Pro' is not recognized even with tifm_sd loaded manually. Also it was logged against Edgy kernel.
Feel free to reject the bug if there is no support in kernel or there is no plan for backport if the supports exists in latest kernel.

This device will not be supported under Edgy. Please try the daily ISO http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current on 4/2 and reopen this report if your memory stick is not recognized.

Per a decision made by the Ubuntu Kernel Team, bugs will longer be assigned to the ubuntu-kernel-team in Launchpad as part of the bug triage process. The ubuntu-kernel-team is being unassigned from this bug report. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeamBugPolicies for more information. Thanks.
