Bug Description
Binary package hint: unity
Natty 11.04 alpha i386 on thinkpad t42, package state from NOW
When clicking the ubuntu symbol upper left the grey shortcut dialog appears on the screen. Every single program in the second row works well. The four search shortcuts in the upper row did not react to any mouseclick. The switch right from 'shortcut' hide all icons and set them back. If text for a search is typed in the upper dialog box, nothing happens. If 'enter' was pressed for search execution, a 'space' appears behind the search text.
Every program that did not exist in the panel or lower row in the launcher can only be used by the terminal.

Sounds like your missing the place daemons or you installed from scratch without copying the .place files from /usr/share/ unity/places/ to $install_ prefix/ share/unity/ places.
First, though, please make sure you have unity-place-files and unity-place- applications installed and restart your session after installing.
