Kaffeine crashes when trying to play Video CD

Bug Description

Version: 0.7.1 (Kubuntu Dapper)
I have inserted Video CD and chose "Play VCD with Kaffeine".
Kaffeine started playing its intro (with coffee bean) but after a second crashed.
The same when opening VCD from Kaffeine menu.

~/.xsession-errors contains the following error:
kaffeine: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.1.1/xineplug_inp_vcd.so: undefined symbol: vcdinfo_get_seg_resolution

so it might be problem with xine-lib or with Kaffeine loading xine-lib.
I have tested both versions for Dapper and they are both giving this crash:
$ dpkg -S /usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.1.1/xineplug_inp_vcd.so
libxine-main1: /usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.1.1/xineplug_inp_vcd.so
$ apt-cache madison libxine-main1
libxine-main1 | 1.1.1+ubuntu2-7.3 | http://security.ubuntu.com dapper-security/main Packages
libxine-main1 | 1.1.1+ubuntu2-7 | http://pl.archive.ubuntu.com dapper/main Packages

I use Kaffeine 8.3-0ubuntu7 on Kubuntu Feisty, and kaffeine crashes when click on "play VCD" (with a Video CD in the cdrom).
Here is what it prints out on the shell:

    "*** stack smashing detected ***: kaffeine terminated
     KCrash: Application 'kaffeine' crashing..."

and here is the Backtrace:

I'd like to verify this. Actually, no multimedia players can play VCDs, but they do play DVDs without any problems. I've used Kaffeine, VLC, Totem, Xine, and MPlayer and all of them crashed. This is not a Kaffeine specific issue. Trace spit out an error: "unable to create a valid backtrace"
This backtrace appears to be of no use.
This is probably because your packages are built in a way which prevents creation of proper backtraces, or the stack frame was seriously corrupted in the crash.

I forgot to comment that I have Kubuntu and Xubuntu Feisty installed. Dapper and Edgy doesn't have any problems playing Video CDs, but upgrade to Fiesty broke playback on all players.
