Bug Description

1) Ubuntu release : Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS, kernel 2.6.32-26-generic

2) Package name: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS, kernel 2.6.32-26-generic (recovery mode) "resume normal boot" after grub menu

3) What I expected to happen: I expected that after choosing recovery mode in grub menu and "Resume normal boot" in the gray box menu which appear at the end of the recovey mode process, I will go directly to a normal start of Ubuntu (as with Hardy LTS recovery mode in the past).

4) What happened instead: When I choose "Resume normal boot" in the blue/gray box menu at the end of recovery mode, then it drops me to a login prompt as root (tty1) instead of starting X. I enter my login and my pswd, but nothing happen. I have to shut down the machine, and then restart without choosing "recovery mode" from grub menu, which works fine. I insist: the Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS, kernel 2.6.32-26-generic boot works fine, but the end process of recovery mode goes finally to a root login prompt, and not to a normal boot.

Just an additive point.

When I arrive to the login prompt, which is not proposed in a graphic mode (meaning, X has not started yet), I enter my login and my password.

In order to start the graphic mode, I've tried to start X. So I wrote "startx", and then enter. The graphic mode starts, and the desktop appears. A window appears asking me to lock the connexion trousseau entering a code.
