screensaver crashes X on IBM X40 (opengl related?)

Bug Description

Binary package hint: xscreensaver-gl

Opening the screensaver preferences on my IBM X40 Thinkpad crashes X,
as does allowing the screensaver to activate.

This appears to be openGL related, since trying to run glxgears has teh same effect.

Attempting to remove xscreensaver-gl will also remove the ubuntu-desktop
package.

Still present in the release version of Edgy (26th Oct)

This is due to running a dual headed configuration with the attached xorg.conf (dri problems?). Switching back to single headed configuration gets rid of the crashes.

Does this bug still occur when using the -intel driver on Gutsy?

Also, does it make any difference whether you have xscreensaver enabled or not?
