Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Compiz does not seem to run as smoothly as it should.moving windows around the screen should be smoother
I guess that Compiz is not configured as it should by default.

This problem dissapears when i go to System->Preferences->CompizConfig Settings Manager<-- General<-- General Options<--display tab and uncheck "detect Refresh rate" and set it manualy to 60HZ which is my monitors Reresh rate.
I also have to check "sync to Vblank" option . When doing this workaround compiz is running like a charm

Hope that something can be done with this

Keep up the good work!

System:ubuntu 10.10 beta amd64 all updates installed till now

Your driver is telling Compiz the refresh rate is 50Hz because it abuses this value to manage display hotplugging because they refuse to just use xrandr.

affects: compiz (Ubuntu) → nvidia-graphics-drivers-180 (Ubuntu)
