Binary package hint: ubiquity
Launch installer from live cd. before preparing disk, two options are showed, to format whole disk by default and to partitioning manually. I think this is dangerous. At least it should be a warning message.

It won't format the whole disk immediately - you'll get a further confirmation message asking you whether you really want to apply the suggested changes.
