Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

I'm a high-sensitivity mouse user, so I either have to click very fast or the menu will immediately close on releasing the mouse button.

This is basically the counterpart of https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/591660

unity:
  Installed: 0.2.12-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 0.2.12-0ubuntu1

Maybe not an Unity issue since I'm seeing it in a GNOME session too and also with panel applets like the menu bar.

Hernando, can you try the patch Jay attached to LP: #591660 and see if it helps your encountered situation?

Relaxing the your mouse-sensitivity settings does temporarily fix your issue, I assume? Kind of a work-around for the the time being.

Seems there's a typo in the sources (clutter 1.2.4):

ERROR in annotation: can't find parameter n_properies referenced by parameter values of 'animatev'

$ grep -rl "properies" *
ChangeLog
clutter/clutter-animation.c
doc/reference/clutter/html/clutter-Implicit-Animations.html

Anyways, with that patch I cannot open the indicators at all - they immediately close.

Maybe an Interesting observation: I cannot reproduce this if the files or applications overlay is shown.

This bug is all about left clicking an indicator - I somehow doubt it's a dupe of #591616.
