Bug Description
These four sources provides a usable Linux framebuffer input framework with fbterm/jfbterm. It is a great solution for users who need an input framework (and input method) under framebuffer. Currently two of the packages are in Squeeze (libucimf, fbterm-ucimf), one in Sid (ucimf-
libucimf is the base framework library, fbterm-ucimf is stuff making ucimf work with fbterm, openvanilla-modules is the data and libraries of openvanilla input method, and ucimf-openvanilla is the input method implemented with ucimf framework. The four packages are required to be installed at the same time to work because there aren't any other input method using this framework yet.

As you have shown, packages for this software exist in Debian already. Ubuntu has semi-automatic tools to sync new packages from Debian so it will most likely appear in the next Ubuntu release. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
