Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs

ubuntu 10-4

I use desktop cube and rotating cube, which reset to WALL on restart.
desktop background, visual effects, extra also returns to NONE on restart

I find compiz loses my settings, too. I turn on window previews and KDE compatibility and they keep disappearing. This is with compiz version 1:0.8.6-0ubuntu5 (in both Lucid and Maverick).
