Bug Description

Binary package hint: plasma-widgets-workspace

In earlier Kubuntu builds I remember I was able to free my system from Akonadi & KDEPIM parts if I wanted to.
Especially to free quite a space by removing MySQL instance that Akonadi pulls in as a dependency.
Now (in Kubuntu 9.10 and later) these packages are required by plasma-widgets-workspace and I can't remove them in simple way.
In this package, I suppose only the calendar applet could require Akonadi/KDEPIM in some way.
Why not split it into a separate package like plasma-widget-calendar ?
And then make kdebase-workspace-bin recommend this package, not depend on it, thus allowing its removal if one desires.

This is only a wishlist, actually. What do you think about that ?
