Bug Description

Binary package hint: music-applet

Currently, music-applet allows the user to have custom plugins in .gnome2 folder. This .gnome2 folder is hardcoded multiple times and, according to the Freedesktop specification, should not be used.

The attached patch solves the problem and use the XDG_CONFIG_HOME instead of .gnome2.

The following patch implies that a previous path "fix the bug by updating the plugin path" from bug #520145 is already applied

Hi,

And thanks for working on that!
As music-applet has been superseded by panflute and is not maintained anymore, I'm not sure it's worth the patch.
Moreover, given that no errors are linked to this .gnome2 hardcoded folder.
