Bug Description

Binary package hint: base-installer

I installed Lucid Beta 1 using the ubuntu-10.04-beta1-server-amd64.iso media and selecting the "Install Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud" option and doing a cloud controller install (cloud controller, walrus storage service, cluster controller, and storage controller). The computer had two network interfaces. I selected eth0 as the primary interface and selected eth1 as the interface on which the cloud controller should talk to the nodes. After installation, VNET_PRIVINTERFACE was set to eth0, and I was able to find no relevant mention of eth1 anywhere under /etc. I would've expected eth1 to be mentioned in a config file somewhere.

Could you please attach /var/log/installer/cdebconf/questions.dat?

Oh, also /var/log/installer/syslog and /etc/eucalyptus/eucalyptus.conf probably wouldn't hurt. Thanks.

Yes, I'll get those when I go home tonight. The machine in question is currently turned off.

Would all or part of the rest of /etc/eucalyptus/* be useful? I was under the impression that eucalyptus.conf was only for system/distribution-provided defaults, which can be overridden by other files under /etc/eucalyptus.

eucalyptus.conf is the one that the installer writes, so that's the file
I'm principally interested in, although obviously if VNET_PRIVINTERFACE
is set anywhere else then that would be good to know as well.
