Bug Description

Kubuntu karmic (Ubuntu 9.10)
plasma-desktop 4:4.4.1-0ubuntu1~karmic1~ppa3

The systray on Desktop shows only some of the widgets that show in the panel systray. This started at upgrade of 4.3.5 to 4.4.0.
The panel shows all applets, but the systray doesn't. I have set all to 'always', but items like klipper and network are simply not shown. I add a screenshot of that area.

This is an unfortunate drawback of the old-style systray icons. Due to the design of the old protocol, they can only be in one tray at a time. Fortunately more and more apps are starting to use the new protocol, so this issue will lessen over time.

Good. So I removed the panel (and thereby hopefully all other instances), logged out and on again, and have yet to see the applications properly. As of now, I get some rectangles, only, as in the attachment.

Is there anything I am still doing wrongly? (All are set to 'Always on', btw.)

Uwe
