Bug Description

Binary package hint: indicator-application

For IBus indicator-application support it would be good to support icons set by absolute filename in addition to icon-name.

I know one should prefer icon-names but support for absolute filename to support legacy code would be nice.

Thank you for helping with making Ubuntu better by reporting this bug. I've opened an upstream task and therefore this bug is now Triaged. The status is set to Wishlist because this is a proposal for the addition of a feature that isn't critical to the functioning of the Application Indicators.
However, this will most likely not be implemented in the near future.

Changed in indicator-application (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Wishlist
status: New → Triaged

I understand why this would be useful, but the problem is that it wouldn't allow for a visualization to appropriately theme the icons that are being placed into the application area.
