Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdesdk

under some circumstances, two files compared with quite some differences distributed over the file content do show correct visual difference output on order 1 of the file argument calls (kompare file1 file2) but only shows a single difference on the beginning of the file when arguments are reversed: kompare file2 file1.

This error is quite very severe, since it misleads the user.

Hi there!

Thanks for reporting this bug! Your bug seems to be a problem with the KDE program itself, and not with our KDE packages. While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.

Thanks!

Yes, I already considered to report it directly to bugs.kde, but nevertheless, I decided to follow the given path, i.e. the path that is started automatically when one enters "bugs/wishes" in the help menu of kde programs provided through ubuntu.
