Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

I'm using Nautilus 2.28.1 on Ubuntu Karmic. When I attach my external USB drive, Nautilus automatically opens up a window displaying its contents. The problem is that the window opens in the foreground but doesn't have focus. I mostly use the keyboard, so when I don't want the window I automatically hit alt-f4, but instead of closing the new window it closes whatever window I was working in before. This happens frequently and is really annoying. I would be fine if the window opened in the background without focus so it didn't get in the way or in the foreground with focus so that it could be easily closed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version. Thanks in advance.
