Bug Description

Binary package hint: yelp

When copying a CD (source drive = dest drive), brasero will copy the image, request a blank CD an on insert, a program selector will take over. After canceling the dialog, brasero brings an error that the disk is in use (which the drive is not, of course).

After this, brasero stops.

Workaround does not work either (creating an on disk image and copying that).

Quite nice, your judgement.

There is currently no way to copy CDs 1:1.

It used to work.

This has nothing to do with wishlists but plain: Fix the errors that were introduced in recent past.

I get the impression you guys have lost focus.

Is it time to switch distribution or go back to Windows?

Did some research:

On 32bit it works.

Error lies in the wodim package.

Error is well known and documented.

I sent an error report to Jörg Schilling. Maybe he deals with this in an appropriate manner (aka does not call an error a wishlist with low prio).

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of brasero is available in both Lucid and Maverick and we are wondering if this is still reproducible in any of those versions, May you please test and give us of feedback about it? Thanks in advance.
