[lucid] unable to install gnome-shell

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-shell

I'm on Lucid and gnome-shell isn't installing. I'm trying to install gnome-shell 2.28.0-0ubuntu2.

Output:

gnome-shell:
 Depends: gobject-introspection-glib-2.0 but it is not installable
 Depends: gobject-introspection-freedesktop but it is not installable
 Depends: gobject-introspection-repository but it is not installable

I searched for these packages in Synaptic, I found the package gir1.0-glib-2.0 (0.6.5-4), installed it, but gnome-shell is still not installable.
If I need to collect more information, please tell me.

Same problem here. Could it be because the dependencies are named differently in the repository? See below.

gobject-introspection-glib-2.0 -> gir1.0-glib-2.0
gobject-introspection-repository -> libgirepository1.0-0
gobject-introspection-freedeskto -> gir1.0-freedesktop

Hi I have the same problem

sudo apt-get install gnome-shell
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have

or been moved out of Incoming.

Some person already use gnome shell as default interface, it should be very great if it was installable for Lucid

apt-get install libgjs0
Depends: xulrunner-1.9.1 (<=1.9.1.9~) but 1.9.1.9+nobinonly-0ubuntu1 is to be installed
