Bug Description

Duplicate bugs should have a status of "fixed released" when the parent bug is closed by a bug fix upload. For example bug #347220 shows duplicate bugs #347245 and #347471. As you can see from the bug pages they have been ghosted out which is ok. However if you go to the packages bug page https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/coherence/+bugs?search=Search&field.status=New&field.status=Incomplete&field.status=Confirmed&field.status=Triaged&field.status=In+Progress&field.status=Fix+Committed&field.status=Fix+Released&field.status=Invalid&field.status=Won%27t+Fix&field.omit_dupes.used= the bugs show up as new bugs. IMHO they should show up as "fixed released".

I think this bug report is confusing a problem with a proposed solution. The problem is that duplicate bug reports aren't distinguished from open bug reports in bug listings. Showing them as "Fix Released" would be one possible solution, but there are probably multiple better solutions. For example, use strikethrough through the text of duplicate bug reports, or make their text semi-transparent, or add a duplicate emblem.
