I'm afraid I don't understand. Do you mean that regular passwords you input on most web pages are not being remembered, because these are usually not done in Java. Or do you have a specific instance of a Java applet that took a password and would remember it?

Hi,
ok you're wrigth I'm not so clear as I would; try this: when I go to http://www.scacchisti.it , then press "ENTRA" (enter), java script loads. When I use Opera10.10 on Ubuntu9.10 it DOES store my nickname AND my password while this doesn't happen using firefox on same OS.

Both Firefox and Opera are able to store nickname AND password using Winndows XP.

Hope to have been clearer
stay well&safe

Thanks, I see now. Since this is a Java applet, the bug is probably in the java plugin. Which java plugin are you using exactly?

Marking as icedtea for now since that is what the OP is _probably_ using.
