Bug Description
Binary package hint: python3.1
This is a duplicate of bug 446004 but since that was closed invalid and closed bugs rarely get any further attention despite new comments being added I am opening a new bug.
I disagree with the assessment in bug 446004. Packages should not be touching /usr/local in any manner whatsoever, whether it be adding files or directories. /usr/local on my system, as it appears to be on kristian's system is NFS mounted and R/O because the consumers (i.e. the users) of that filesystem are not permitted to write into it. It is _site-local_ and OFF-LIMITS for system packages.
Please correct this behavior, or at least make the package not fail and be a broken installation on systems that operate /usr/local in a manner that is consistent with what /usr/local is and that's _site-local_.
