Bug Description

Binary package hint: totem

totem package actually depends on gnome version of totem-common. This seems to be a mistake since using a different version of totem and totem-common caused segmentation fault in bug #459423

Therefore, it might be interesting to change this in totem packaging as this source package provides both totem and totem-common. Maybe that this little change can be included in lucid packaging.

This would require to replace this, in debian/control :

totem-common (>= ${gnome:Version}),
totem-common (<< ${gnome:NextVersion}),

by :

totem-common (= ${source:Version}),

Changed in totem (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Low

Because the current model still works great and that there has only been one issue in the past in regards of this problem, that this will never be a problem when the user update it's ubuntu distribution normally and that applying such restrictive depends might cause more problems, I'm invalidating my own bug.

Changed in totem (Ubuntu):
