Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

After booting the UNR everything is fine. Then, after using it several minutes (including the workspace-switcher), the panel becomes invisible. One can use everthing located in the panel, but without seeing it. Killing the gnome-panel process solves the problem most of the time for several minutes, but then the problem comes back.

this bug occurs for me when using metacity with compositing enabled through gconf-editor. I don't know about compiz
