Audio test sound is too "sudden"

Bug Description

Maybe it's just me, but the sudden sound that comes when the audio test is started is just "too sudden". So far I've used the tool on three computers, and every time the sudden loud sound gives me a shock :)

Maybe this could be replaced by a sound more like Ubuntu's startup sound which begins quietly and gets louder then?

Actually, I agree. The sound should be softer.

This problem is corrected in Hardy. It should be marked as fix released.

The drum sound used in Hardy (tested with 8.04.1) seems acceptable to me; in my opinion, this bug can be marked as fixed.

This problem was corrected on Hardy Hearon.
