I'm using Kubuntu 9.04 and KPackageKit. KPackageKit reported this error on instalation.

- reassigning to kpackagekit, it seems the message is pretty bogus here.

I guess it's a problem with the Kpackage rather than libavutil49. I was
downloading ffmpeg, and it came up with a number of dependencies, of which
libavutil49 was one. At the end of the ffmpeg install it gave me this
message so I registered it. However, now I feel it was more to do with the
Ffmpeg package or the package installer.

Subsequently I uninstalled and ran it again successfully.

Can you reproduce this error in KpackageKit? Actually this error happened beneath the PackageKit layer. The apt backend just calls apt.
