Bug Description

Binary package hint: usplash

As of 2009-10-19 there is no indication that the machine has not hung during bootup. This is a regression against nine previous releases of Ubuntu.

Ideally something should kick usplash into pulsating mode.

Apparently there is done for LiveCD, but not after install...

<sladen> pitti: I see no pulsatations on boot. If I should be seeing them, what is poking usplash to PULSATE?
<pitti> sladen: only on live system boot, not on installed one
<pitti> sladen: casper does
