Bug Description

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

The bug is the same as bug #326205, but it must be a new bug since the mentioned bug is fixed.

There are sound glitches in the Karmic (Gnome) login sound, but apart from that everything is fine. I have not experienced this problem on any other version of Ubuntu. Login sound worked fine in Jaunty, so this is not a hardware problem.

Please append position_fix=1 to the options snd-hda-intel line in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf, then reboot. If that resolves the issue, please use apport-collect -p alsa-base 451329

Adding position_fix=1 to the options snd-hda-intel line didn't seem to make any difference for me.
