Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Using Ubuntu Karmic Koala 9.10 beta (upgraded from alpha 5 install) inside a vitualbox VM on Jaunty.

The version of my gnome-panel package is in the bug report compile by ubuntu-bug.

When i click the clock applet on gnome-panel i expect it to open the mini calendar. This works fine. When i click the clock applet again i expect it to completely hide the calendar. Instead it hides the calendar and leaves the shadow applied to the edge of the calendar window as an outline. I would upload a screenshot with this report to illustrate what i mean but i'm having trouble taking screenshots inside the VM (and i can't file this report outside of it).

Judging from the errors being thrown by gnome-panel it should be a reasonably simple bug to fix? I can fix the issue by dragging another window over the affected area, erasing the border left by the calendar.
