Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-disk-utility

HOST-System: Ubuntu 9.04, 64bit, VirtualBox 3.0.6
GUEST-System: Ubuntu 9.10, 32bit

When trying to install the VirtualBox Guest Additions through the VirtualBox Interface (Devices->Install Guest Additions), Karmic seems to recognize the virtual CD-rom drive but the CD-Symbol does not appear on the Desktop.

In the gnome-disk-utility, there is a CD-Drive, but the CD is reputed to be unpartitioned. When trying to mount manually (sudo mount /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom), I get an error like this: Unknown filesystem-format iso9660.

Maybe its not a problem related to the gnome-disk-utility, but I had no idea where to put the bug-report else ;-)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of Gnome Disk Utility is available on Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version? Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance.
