Bug Description

Binary package hint: libsox-fmt-base

When playing the attached wav file (generated with a Creative Rhomba PA50), sox segfaults. The desktop (Nautilus?) preview feature plays this file fine.

The desired behavior would be to play the file, possibly with a warning if it's badly formatted.

This is on up-to-date jaunty.

libsox-fmt-base:
  Installed: 14.2.0-1
  Candidate: 14.2.0-1
  Version table:
 *** 14.2.0-1 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com jaunty/universe Packages

Playing the file in SoX 14.4.1 works. Possibly this was the same problem as https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2404566&group_id=10706&atid=110706, which has been fixed in 14.3.0.
