Manzur Thank you for taking time to report this bug. Can you please attach the output of 'lspci -vvn'.

Perhaps your video card is blacklisted in compiz. Open a terminal and run the following command and attach the output here.

"SKIP_CHECKS=yes compiz"

affects: ubuntu → compiz (Ubuntu)

the problem is that i am not able to login ubuntu due to an upgrade, so i am going to wait until alpha 5, sorry for any inconvenience, meanwhile leave this bug opened and don't close it please

This was most like a problem we had in gnome-appearance properties around the time this bug was reported. It has since been fixed.
