Bug Description

This is similar to, but not identical to 368248 (which was resolved)

Logs to follow, specifically in syncdaemon-exceptions.log.

The client applet also notifies on a "fatal error" on startup. I think it's probably flagging the exception, although the syncdaemon appears to continue.

I don't see this on my laptop, only on the netbook, on which I had removed teh client and reinstalled. I had not cleared metadata or other things that would have been left behind by apt-get remove

Per 416920, this is happening with the BETA client as well so I won't hold the rollout for this bug.

Today client updated. Icon doesnt disappear from the panel anymore. But when I click right button, "Connect" is not active and can't click.
