Some Fn keys not work on Samsung R518

Notebook info from dmidecode:
Manufacturer: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD.
Product name: R518

Ubuntu 9.04

Some Fn keys not work:

1. Fn+F2 Battery status: no keycode, no unknown keys in dmesg, no acpi events
2. Fn+F3 Monitor switch: no keycode, no unknown keys in dmesg, no acpi events
3. Fn+F5 Backlight off: no keycode, no unknown keys in dmesg, no acpi events
4. Fn+F8 powersave mode switch: no keycode, no unknown keys in dmesg, no acpi events
5. Fn+F9 WIFI on/off: no keycode, no unknown keys in dmesg, no acpi events
6. Fn+Up Brightness up: no keycode, no unknown keys in dmesg, no acpi events
7. Fn+Down: Brightness down: no keycode, no unknown keys in dmesg, no acpi events

Other Fn keys produces scan codes and work as needed.

I am not owner of this model (owner is don`t speakes english), but I`ve found a solution. I` attaching a patch for kernel to fix this bug.

Thanks, but this post was written after other ones in your link (I made post there too). All bugs like "samsung notebook fn ..notwork" can be closed and merged in this one https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/399911, cause there more elegant solution (look posts after #15). And of course my bug was fine fixed for me.
