Bug Description
Hi there,
I have a bug with the kernel since the 2.6.15-20-386 one (2.6.15-20 and 2.6.15-21)
ubuntu dapper wont boot
when i load the system (2.6.15-21) it shows :
Booting 'Ubuntu, kernel 2.6.15-21-386'
root (hd1,1)
Filesystem type is ext2fs, partition type 0x03
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-
[Linux-bzImage, setup=0x1c00, size0x157b11]
initrd /boot/initrd.
[Linux-initrd @ 0x1b8a1000, 0x63ed66 bytes]
savedefault
boot
Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel

[4294668.126000] PCI : Cannot allocate resource region 0 of device 0000:02:00.0
Then it stops booting.
With the 2.6.15.19 i have only these 2 lines, but the kernel boot anyway and I can start ubuntu

I confirm this issue on a clean install of Dapper.
acpi=off bypasses the problem but then we get another error:
[4294669. 603000] BIOS bug, local APIC #0 not detected!...
I cant even install Dapper on my machine see: www.ubuntuforum s.org/showpost. php?p=1086600& postcount= 4
