Bug Description

Hi there,

I have a bug with the kernel since the 2.6.15-20-386 one (2.6.15-20 and 2.6.15-21)
ubuntu dapper wont boot
when i load the system (2.6.15-21) it shows :

[4294668.126000] PCI : Cannot allocate resource region 0 of device 0000:02:00.0

Then it stops booting.

With the 2.6.15.19 i have only these 2 lines, but the kernel boot anyway and I can start ubuntu

I confirm this issue on a clean install of Dapper.
acpi=off bypasses the problem but then we get another error:

[4294669.603000]BIOS bug, local APIC #0 not detected!...

I cant even install Dapper on my machine see:

for more details and people getting the same problems.

I also have this problem with my intel sds2 server board. Hoary works great, but not dapper.

I had also this problem.
The system was just hanging. I used the noapic kernel parameter to bypass this error at boot time, but then the system continued to crash.
So, I disabled the cpufreq service and that's it! It now works fine with full acpi support.
