Bug Description

Error occurs while starting application,

"Bonobo could not locate the GNOME_MailNotification.server file. Please check you Mail Notification installation."

Occured in Ubuntu Dapper Beta

That happens for me too (on Drapper).

I run mail-notification from command-line and no further debug info was produced.

I'm getting the same problem on Edgy. Mail Notification package is version 3.0.dfsg.1-3ubuntu8

This is a known problem.

I used to warn the user about having to restart bonobo but I removed it has it was not appropriate for debconf.

But I should have a look at how to inform the user about this in an update-notifier-way.

Fixed in 5.x as it no longer uses Bonobo.

I will upload 5.4.dfsg.1 to Debian most likely today.
