Bug Description

I tried the Desktop CD of Dapper 6.06 beta; it load perfectly, but the keyboard doesn't work at all, neither capslock or numlock lights. It is connected properly to the computer (a desktop computer - Asus Pundit) because I use it with WinXP.

The keyboard kit is a Logitech Premium desktop; keyboard connected with cable (Ps2) and mouse wireless (Usb), with receiver integrated in the keyboard.

The mouse works fine.

Any ideas?

Same problem here. I installed Ubuntu 5.10, and at the login screen there's no way of inputting anything with the keyboard.

Just before the login screen appears, the keyboard is still active, as I can switch Num Lock on and off.

The keyboard is a very standard run-of-the-mill keyboard connected with PS/2.

I'm using dapper 6.06 dvd to install on hp xp xw3000 workstation.

Kernel is 2.6.15-23-386 #1 PREEMPT; mouse is usb, keyboard is ps/2.

The keyboard works fine in the grub menu and then stop working under X: no key, no led.

The mouse and everything else work fine.

I can't see no error message about the keyboard in /var/log/Xorg.0.log or /var/log/messages.

I can try to save some logs and attach them here if it helps.

Thanks for reporting this issue.

LaundroMat and gianluca, could you report the make and model of your keyboard?
