Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

$ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04

After upgrade from 8.10 with plasma-widget-network-manager not installed to 9.04, any subsequent apt-get or other package installation/upgrade actions require network-manager to uninstall. If the unwary user fails to hit 'n', the wired-LAN network connection goes down.

The user experience of figuring out that plasma-widget-network-manager must be installed in order to prevent this is, and so allow package upgrades to proceed, is non-intuitive to say the least.

I can uninstall plasma-widget-network-manager just fine here. Could you paste a log of what happens when you try to sudo apt-get uninstall plasma-widget-network-manager?
