Bug Description

it provides the debhelper plugin for dh so that the short rules can be used like this

%:
dh --with quilt $@

A lot of packages will start using it in karmic so it will be useful to have it in the backports. It already made FTBFS some of my other packages I wanted to backport =) bug #384976

I did setup hardy pbuilder with back ports enabled. quilt from karmic does build successfully in it.

added pbuilder (backports enabled) build logs for hardy, intrepid, jaunty. (Prevu is not working for me =( don't know why)

Hi!

Is there any chance to get it backported, at least for Hardy? Sound like a trivial thing. It's been awhile and I need it to not rehearse the rules of my packages that use quilt for patch management with dh7.

It looks like this bug requests a backport from Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala). However, as Karmick is no longer supported, such a backport is no longer possible.
