kpackagekit can't install meta packages

Bug Description

Binary package hint: kpackagekit

Cannot install any meta packages such as kubuntu-restrict-extras, ubuntu-desktop, ubuntu-restrict-extras in kpackagekit. After choosing to install the package and clicking 'OK', kpackagekit closes without any error output, just as it has finished installation successfully.

I confirm the bug. I tried to install ubuntu-restricted-extras and no other packages were selected and no package was installed (even ubuntu-restricted-extras appears as "not installed)

I use Kubuntu jaunty 64-bit.

Possibly a duplicate of Bug #342671 - (Doesn't support installations which require a removal or updates which require additional software)
