Bug Description

There is no way to perform the "Mark as done", "Dismiss", "Delete" and "Insert subtask" actions in the task window using accelerators (keyboard shortcuts).

It is possible to perform those actions using the mouse by clicking the action buttons, or using the keyboard using Ctrl-tab to select the action button and then press space or enter. But both are suboptimal. It would be preferrable to have accelerators such as Ctrl-D (Done), Ctrl-I (Dismiss), Ctrl-E (Delete, Ctrl-Supp is quite dangerous if you have your xserver configured to exit on Ctrl-Alt-Supp, so please do not use it), and Ctrl-U (Insert Subtask).

I agree that it's a must have feature.

Ideally, these operations would be bound to a single key rather than a key combination. See gmail or vim for examples.

Also, it would be easier if the task window supported the gnome convention of closing a window with Ctrl+W. (Right now, Alt+C can be used for this.)

"Delete" already has a keyboard binding, it's just impossible to find on the UI -- see bug 398355.

"Insert new subtask" already has "Ctrl-Shift-N" as a keyboard binding, which matches well with the HIG (see http://library.gnome.org/devel/hig-book/stable/input-keyboard.html.en#standard-shortcuts).

Well, it's landed on trunk & should be in the next release.

I've added support for Ctrl-W closing task windows in lp:~blinken/gtg/hotkeys. If this is ok, am happy to add bindings above to the task editor window.

Ctrl-N, Ctrl-Shift-N, Ctrl-D, and Ctrl-I for the task editor window are now in lp:~blinken/gtg/hotkeys.
