Bug Description
Binary package hint: casper
Steps to reproduce:
1. Boot with the Kubuntu Jaunty Beta Desktop CD.
2. At boot time, select a language other than English (for instance, Spanish or German).
3. Select the first boot option (Try Kubuntu without changing the computer).
4. Kubuntu starts to load and KDE4 desktop appears in the screen.
Expected behavior:
The KDE4 desktop shows in Spanish or German, i.e. the language you selected on step #2.
Actual behavior:
The KDE4 desktop shows always in English, ignoring the language selected on step #2.

As far as I can see, casper is behaving appropriately, but there simply aren't any language packs on the Kubuntu 9.04 beta desktop CD, presumably for space reasons. It's standard operating procedure to fill the CD up with language packs where possible shortly before release, so I would expect this to be fixed more or less automatically shortly before release if it's at all possible.
